Course Objective:

Year II equips the students with advanced programming knowledge in the area of Enterprise Application Development. In addition, students also learn to develop enterprise applications using Open Source Technologies (OST). An online project will be provided to the student wherein the implementation of the technologies learnt will be covered.

The course will benefit students desiring to upgrade their programming skills as per the latest computing technologies. This course is also useful for legacy application programmers to upgrade their knowledge in web-based programming.

Pre-requisite for HDSE:

A student must have completed DISM course from APTECH.

Learning Outcome:

• Develop desktop / client-server applications using Java or C# along with SQL Server 2000
• Develop Web services using the .NET platform or Java
• Analyze problems using OOAD techniques and UML
• Develop applications using Open Source Technologies
• Work on the Linux Operating System
• Create CGI scripts using Perl
• Use PHP to develop web pages
• Design and create databases using MYSQL database engine.
• Deploy web pages using Apache Web Server.
